In Chamoli, Uttarakhand, three youths made a reel by setting fire to the forest and shared it on Instagram. After this, when the video went viral, the matter reached the police. After the investigation, the police have arrested all three accused.

Incidents of forest fires are being reported every day in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. At present, the rapidly spreading forest fire has become a big problem. Meanwhile, a video of setting fire to the forest is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In this video, some youths say – ‘Our job is to set and walk on fire.’ When this video went viral, the matter reached the police. The police have arrested three accused after an investigation.

When the video of setting the forest on fire surfaced, everyone on social media started lashing out at the accused. Police say that the youths who made this video have been arrested.

Chamoli police took cognizance of the video made on social media to promote forest fire and arrested three youths. When the police investigated the viral video, it was found that this video was from Pandavakhal, Gairsain Chamoli.

On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Sarvesh Panwar, Gairsain police took immediate action and arrested Brijesh Kumar, Salman, and Shukhlal, residents of Bihar, and all three were brought to Gairsain police station. Action was taken against these three under the Public Property Damage Prevention Act.

During interrogation, the youths said that they had uploaded this video to gain popularity on social media. The youth say in the video that our job is to set and play with fire. Superintendent of Police Sarvesh Panwar has appealed to the people to save forests from fire.
