Haridwar: Illegal construction going on indiscriminately on the banks of Ganga, many cases came to the fore after sealing Anand Giri’s ashram
Not only in Kumbhnagari Haridwar, many kilometers away from it, illegal construction is being done on the banks of Ganga indiscriminately. The influential people have erected hotels and ashrams in the Shyampur area, just adjacent to the Ganges stream. These new cases have come to the fore after the ashram of Anand Giri, a disciple of the Akhara Parishad, was sealed. The officials of the district administration and the Haridwar-Roorkee Development Authority have bowed down in front of those who have a higher reach. The orders of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) are being openly ignored in Haridwar.
Narendra Giri Case: Many new facts revealed in SIT investigation, numbers of 18 influential people of Haridwar found in call details
Defying the NGT norms, influential people have built hotels, ashrams and societies on the banks of the Ganges in Shyampur Kangri. After the death of Shri Mahant Narendra Giri, President of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, the ashram from where his disciple Anand Giri was arrested is also being built on the banks of the Ganges in Shyampur Kangri village. The foundation of the ashram was erected near the Ganges stream. The ashram was sealed by the HRDA officials.
Anand Giri’s ashram alone is not built on the banks of the Ganges. Another ashram is being constructed at a fast pace, equal to the ashram of Anand Giri. The Ghat which has been built in this ashram is built on the Ganges itself. Along with this, there is also a hotel for the husband of a film actress on the banks of the Ganges. On the other hand, a minister’s ashram is also built on the banks of the Ganges. Not only this, the society is also being cut on the banks of the Ganges.12:34 PM Today Actions.
