Chardham Yatra 2024: Trash bags mandatory in vehicles of devotees and tourists

Chardham Yatra 2024 Trash bags will be checked in the vehicles of tourists and devotees on Chardham Yatra. All departments related to Chardham Yatra are instructed to regularly update real-time data on the Chardham dashboard which will be launched soon. The Chief Secretary has instructed to talk with the District Magistrates to arrange insurance for the mules providing services on the Yatra route.

Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. Chardham Yatra 2024: Trash bags will be checked in the vehicles of tourists and devotees coming to Chardham Yatra. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has issued instructions for this.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has instructed all the departments related to Chardham Yatra to regularly update real-time data on the Chardham dashboard which will be launched soon. He said that this dashboard will become a medium for effective exchange of information and data sharing among all the departments related to Chardham. This will establish effective coordination among the departments and their tendency to work in isolation will end.

For this, he gave instructions to appoint one nodal officer in all the departments. The Chief Secretary instructed all the concerned departments that the data updated on the Chardham dashboard should be dynamic and real-time. It should be fed regularly.

Instructions to compulsorily update information about the cancellation of Helicopter service

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has given information about black spots, slipping zones, and alternative routes other than the main routes on the Yatra route to the Public Works Department in the Chardham dashboard. Instructions have been given to compulsorily update the data of roads blocked by debris, landslides or traffic jams, road accidents, and UCADA to compulsorily update information about cancellation of heli service in Dhams due to bad weather or other reasons.

Along with this, the Chief Secretary informed the Animal Husbandry Department about fodder, hot drinking water, etc. for the mules on the Yatra route in the Chardham dashboard. Instructions have also been given to regularly update the real-time data on the availability of veterinarians and to update the real-time data of parking spaces and the availability of parking spaces on the Yatra route to the police department.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi reviewed the Chardham dashboard being prepared by ITDA in the Secretariat. This dashboard will initially be used for administrative coordination and work of government departments and will later be opened to the general public.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has given instructions to do GIS tagging of the works done on the Yatra route in the Chardham dashboard. He has described the interlinking of various departments as necessary for performance evolution.

The Chief Secretary has given instructions to add other crowded tourist places like Mussoorie to the Chardham dashboard so that all the information and real-time data can be available to the tourists visiting these places. Along with this, the Chief Secretary has given instructions to strictly follow the rules of mandatory keeping of trash bags (dustbins) in the vehicles of devotees and tourists coming on Chardham Yatra.

For this, he has given instructions to give information while issuing trip cards and to do regular checking and challan. He has given instructions to write letters to municipal bodies, corporations, and district panchayats in this regard. The Chief Secretary has instructed to talk with the District Magistrates to arrange insurance for the mules providing services on the Yatra route.
